Ashley Nicolette Frangipane (/ËŒfrændʒəˈpɑːni/;[1] born September 29, 1994), known professionally as Halsey (/ˈhɔːlzi/),[2] is an American singer, songwriter and actress. Musically talented from a young age, she began songwriting at seventeen. In 2012, she began releasing music on social media platforms, and was signed by Astralwerks in 2014. Soon after, she released her debut EP, Room 93 (2014), and toured with larger acts to promote it.

Dua Lipa (/ˈduːə  ˈliːpÉ™/; Albanian: [ˈdua ˈlipa]; born 22 August 1995) is an English singer-songwriter.[6][7] Her musical career began at age 14, when she started to cover songs by other artists on YouTube. In 2015, she signed with Warner Music Group and released her first single soon after.

Her self-titled debut studio album was released on 2 June, 2017. The album spawned seven singles, including two UK top-10 singles "Be the One" and "IDGAF" and the UK number-one single "New Rules", which also reached number six in the United States. In February 2018, Lipa won two Brit Awards for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act.

In April 2018, the single "One Kiss" by Lipa and Calvin Harris reached number one on the UK Singles Chart. In February 2019, at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards, Lipa won Best New Artist and Best Dance Recording for the single "Electricity", a collaboration with British-American duo Silk City.

She rose to prominence as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, formed on The X Factor (U.S.) in 2012, signing a joint record deal with Syco Music and Epic Records.

While a part of Fifth Harmony, Cabello began to establish herself as a solo artist with the release of the collaborations "I Know What You Did Last Summer" with Shawn Mendes, and "Bad Things" with Machine Gun Kelly, the latter reaching number four on the Billboard Hot 100 U.S chart. After leaving the group in December 2016, Cabello released several other collaborations, including "Hey Ma" with Pitbull and J Balvin for The Fate of the Furious soundtrack.

Born in Florida to a family of New York-Italian origin, she began her career in 2008 in the Broadway musical 13, before playing the role of Cat Valentine in the Nickelodeon television series Victorious from 2010 to 2013, and in the spinoff Sam & Cat from 2013 to 2014. Grande made her first musical appearance on the soundtrack for Victorious and was signed to Republic Records in 2011 after music executive Monte Lipman came across one of her YouTube videos covering songs.
